LinkedIn Text Formatter
Write bold, italic and underlined text for LinkedIn posts, comments, your headline and About section. Type below, then copy the style you like and paste it into LinkedIn.
How to bold text on LinkedIn
- Write your post text in the box above.
- Copy the Bold or Bold sans style.
- Open LinkedIn, start a post and paste. The bold text stays bold.
LinkedIn has no bold button for regular posts. This formatter uses Unicode characters that look bold or italic, so the style survives copy and paste on desktop and on the LinkedIn app.
Where formatting works on LinkedIn
- Posts and articles previews – make your first line bold so people click “see more”.
- Comments – highlight a key point in a long reply.
- Headline – bold one keyword, such as your role or niche.
- About section – use bold for section titles like “What I do”.
Tips for better LinkedIn posts
Use bold for the hook and for 2–3 short headings, not for whole paragraphs. Keep hashtags and names in normal text so LinkedIn search still finds them. Italic works well for quotes and short asides, and underline is good for one call to action.
LinkedIn formatting FAQ
Will people on mobile see my bold text?
Yes. Bold and italic Unicode text displays in the LinkedIn app on iPhone and Android and on desktop browsers.
Does bold text hurt my post reach?
There is no sign that LinkedIn penalises Unicode text. Readers matter more: short bold hooks usually help, while long bold blocks are hard to read.
Can I bold text in my LinkedIn name?
LinkedIn may reject special characters in the name field. Use formatting in your headline and posts instead.
